TECHPRO LATEST AWARDS EVENT
TechPro recently undertook a new challenge, working directly for a leading Financial Publication. The result, a truly stunning visual event in a beautiful venue steeped in custom and history in Central London.
The client brief was to deliver a crisp, exciting and different event with massive attention on the presentation material. Working closely with the client’s keynote designer, TechPro delivered a truly spectacular event. TechPro provided all of the technical aspects, which included design and build of the stage & set, and supply of all of the lighting, video and sound equipment.
“Upon visiting the venue I decided not to detract from the sheer elegance of the room and designed a full white set with a “floating”, centrally based 6m x 2m screen to add impact as the guests entered the room for the awards show. During the awards we lit the high Peter Paul Rubens painted domed ceiling, which created an amazing subtle effect; the best high for me is when I see the clients face when they enter the room, they were blown away and I couldn’t have been more excited by the response”
Trudy Wilde, Project Manager
Technical Aspect
The stunning visual aspect was the “floating screen” and all the video material was produced and displayed in true HD. Panasonic projectors were used to project the widescreen blend which gave amazing clarity of image and vibrant deep colours. The presentation source material was taken from two Macbook Pro’s each running at true HD, the widescreen was processed using a Barco Encore Control system. Quality was not compromised anywhere and even the comfort monitoring for the presenters was in HD format! Two HD Sony camera channels were displayed as PIP’s over laying the main show graphic.
The 12m wide set included a large 6m x 2m screen and front panels which were staggered to add depth, these were up-lighted utilising Thomas Pixel Line LED batons and Mac 250 Entour’s. Further adding to the elegant lighting, wireless DMX Core LED’s were used to up-light architectural elements of the hall which included the side pillars. Generic lighting was positioned discreetly on the balcony level giving a general stage wash.
Nexo Speakers and digital amplification were used for the PA and the excellent Audio Technica 935 microphones were used at the podiums to capture the presenter speeches.
Please thank your entire team; last night was a superb event and a joy to work with an AV Company that is so amenable to all my requests, even at the 11th hour. Your preparation and efficiency is second to none which enables me to trust in you wholeheartedly. Here’s to the next one! Thank you once again.
